Thursday 2nd March to Saturday 4th March
Magna Science Adventure Centre
Sheffield Road Rotherham
Presented in association with
Our 2017 theme will celebrate the proud history of the coal mining industry in South Yorkshire.
We are delighted to announce that we are back at MAGNA in March 2017 for another Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival.
As usual, all profits from the Festival will go to charity. This year, we are supporting the Rotherham Cancer Care Centre.
During the Festival, they are running a "50-50 Draw". The winning ticket on Thursday was No.79 (prize has been claimed). The winner of Friday's draw was Martin James with ticket No.1215.
The MAGNA Science Adventure Centre on Sheffield Road, Rotherham is a great venue for the festival, being a convenient distance from both Rotherham and Meadowhall Interchange. MAGNA has good facilities and can easily accomodate a big crowd.
There is no increase in entry prices since our last festival ‒ in fact the Friday night entry is only £10, the same as the other sessions. You can get your ticket from various outlets around South Yorkshire, or buy them online. See our tickets page for details and directions to the venue.
We will have about 150 real ales on offer, as well as a selection of ciders, wines and foreign bottled beers. A brand new beer will be launched at the Festival by Yorkshire brewery Timothy Taylor.
The beer, to be named 'Knowle Spring Blonde', is the first new 'regular' beer from Timothy Taylor since 1952, and we are honoured that they will use the Rotherham Real Ale & Music Festival as the launch-pad (can't wait to taste it!).
Go to the Real Ales page to find out more.
The music is as important to us as the beer (would you believe ‒ some people come to the Festival just for the music!). Our dedicated entertainment organisers have booked an amazing selection of musical talent for your enjoyment. More info is on the music page.
We rely heavily on the generosity of our sponsors - in fact the Festival would not happen without them. All profit from the Festival is donated to charity so we start from scratch with an empty bank balance and need help to kick-start the event.
Wilford Smith Solicitors have generously agreed to be our main sponsor. They have been established in Rotherham for over 30 years and, with a reputation for hard work and results, they can help you with a wide range of legal matters.
If you would like to sponsor part of the Festival ‒ put an advert in the brochure, sponsor a beer, etc. ‒ find out more on our Sponsorship page. All sponsors get free tickets and plenty of publicity around the Festival.
The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival is staffed by an army of volunteers ‒ people of all ages, from all walks of life ‒ people like you! Many help out year after year.
If you would like to volunteer at the Festival, please fill in our volunteer form to let us know what you are interested in doing and when you are available to work.
AroundTown magazine have a great article about the Rotherham Real Ale & Music Festival in their January/February edition. Why not take a look?
